Amanda Lasseter, PT, DPT, COMT
Early Career:
Dr. Amanda Lasseter studied physical therapy in her hometown in Duluth, MN at the College of St. Scholastica, earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy after her Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences and Psychology. She earned an Outstanding Physical Therapy Student award from the Minnesota Physical Therapy Association in 2008. She spent the first 7 years of her career working in sports medicine and orthopedics, earning her Certification in Orthopedics and Manual Therapy (COMT) from the Ola Grimsby Institute in 2009. During this time she also served as a clinical instructor for dozens of student physical therapists from 9 universities, including the University of Montana. She has presented at multiple professional symposiums and meetings.
Pelvic Health:
Upon returning from maternity leave in 2015, Amanda found her passion in working with other postpartum women, realizing there was a huge gap between the need and availability of quality pelvic health care. She successfully launched pelvic health programs in multiple locations with Select Physical Therapy in Arizona, including a satellite office within a freestanding birth center where she was privileged to work alongside midwives, doulas, nurses, prenatal specialists in chiropractics and massage therapy. Her educational and professional focus has since been completely focused on honing her expertise in pelvic health and perinatal care. She relocated to Hamilton in 2021, and in 2023 after realizing pelvic floor physical therapy does not fit the mold of orthopedic clinics, she founded Rooted Pelvic Health & Yoga in order to create the optimal environment for providing quality, expert care in the Bitterroot Valley.
